Welcome to the website of Smiths Green Riding School.

Smith’s Green Riding School are situated in the rural village of Barthomley, In between Crewe and Alsager and only 5 minutes from J16 of the M6.

Smith’s Green Riding School has been established since 2004. We are a small, family run business with friendly qualified staff and teachers. We pride ourselves on being able to provide a very high standard of service tailored to your individual needs.

The Riding School has a large choice of horses ranging from 11.2 hh ponies to 17 hh hunter types.

All the horses have been specially chosen for their exceptional temperaments and abilities to adapt to individual riders requirements.

We welcome riders from 5 years of age onwards and cater for all abilities, from the complete beginner to the elite rider.

Group lessons are kept small at a maximum of 5 clients per lesson. We also offer private and semi-private lessons as well as hacks.

Riding lessons are held in our large indoor school, whilst in summer time jumping lessons are held in our outdoor jumping arena.

During the summer months we offer hacks out, which are always taken with a qualified instructor. These take place across Smiths Green Farms 200 acres of farmland, along quiet scenic roads and acres of fields for off road hacking all overlooking the beautiful Cheshire countryside.

We also run pony activity days for children throughout the school holidays and we are a popular venue for children’s birthday parties.

Smith’s Green Riding School prides itself on the care and welfare of all our horses, and we are fully licensed and insured.
